At Copenhagen Float, one of our hosts will give you a warm welcome upon arrival. We guide you step by step to ensure you get the most out of the experience.
We show you into the room, where we find the right temperature and put on some music or a guided meditation. It is possible to connect your phone so you can listen to your own music, a guided meditation or a podcast.
In a traditional sauna, the heat comes from the sauna stove, which heats the air in the sauna. In an infrared sauna, the heat comes from the panels in the walls and floor of the sauna. The heat from these panels can penetrate deeper into the body than heated air, and you sweat at a lower temperature than in a traditional sauna.
In the sauna, the pores in your skin will open slowly and your heart will beat a little faster, so that your circulation increases. In this way, toxins and other waste products will also be removed more quickly.
A trip to an infrared sauna is a calm and relaxing form of therapeutic treatment with many beneficial effects in the body.
We have everything you need – towels, cloths and plenty of water.
Our infrared sauna has 7 carbon panels, 2 full spectrum 375W corner panels and a foot warmer.
It is made from Canadian hemlock, and is FSC certified.
The more water in your body, the more productive your session will be. So we recommend good hydration as well as a light meal before your session (but nothing heavy or directly before your session).
Other than that, there is nothing else to worry about.
You do not need to bring anything at all, unless you prefer to wear a swimsuit.
We provide towels, cloths and lots of water!
Less is more – you don’t need to have anything on. If you would prefer to wear a swimming costume or underwear, make sure there is no plastic or metal.
You should arrive on time. There is time included in your booking for a full introduction before your 45 minute session starts. If you arrive too early, we can’t guarantee that there will be space for you in our lounge.
Think about how you feel right after a workout, and that’s probably how you’ll feel after your sauna session. Within 30 minutes you will experience a boost in energy and mood, resulting in a productive afternoon and a good night’s sleep.

The good news is that infrared heat kills 99% of bacteria in a naturally sterile environment, but of course we clean the sauna so you have a nice experience.
