Release tension with Facial Reflexology

Facial Reflexology is a gentle, holistic therapy that works by stimulating specific reflex points on the face, which correspond to different areas and systems of the body. Based on traditional reflexology principles, this treatment helps to release tension, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural healing and balance.

By working through the face’s nerve pathways and reflex zones, Facial Reflexology can have a deeply relaxing effect on both the nervous system and the body as a whole. Many clients experience reduced stress, improved clarity, and a sense of overall wellbeing during and after treatment.

Treatment Format

Please book a 60-minute initial treatment. After your first session, our massage therapist will recommend a personalised treatment plan based on your needs. This may include 90-minute sessions, with each treatment tailored and adjusted to your individual condition and goals.

At Copenhagen Float, facial refloxology is offered by Kinga and Anda.

Her approach is intuitive and restorative, with particular attention to the connection between physical tension and overall well-being. Facial Reflexology FAQ

What is Sorensensistem Facial Reflexology?

Sorensensistem Facial Reflexology is a specialised reflexology method developed by Danish therapist Lone Sorensen. The treatment combines facial reflexology, acupressure, and techniques inspired by traditional healing systems with modern knowledge of the nervous system.

During the treatment, specific points and zones on the face and scalp are stimulated using gentle pressure and massage techniques. Many people find the experience deeply relaxing and enjoy it as a way to reduce stress, release tension, and support overall wellbeing.

In addition to its relaxing effects, the treatment naturally stimulates circulation and lymphatic flow in the face, often leaving the skin looking refreshed and revitalised.

How does it work?

Facial Reflexology Therapy is a therapeutic treatment that stimulates your neuro-biological system. By manually stimulating reflex zones of your face, pressing on reflex points along specific meridians, this treatment will balance your body functions and mind by acting on important systems (immune system, blood circulation, lymphatic system and Central Nerve System (CNS)).

What Facial Reflexology can support:

Facial reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive practice that many people use as part of their wellbeing routine. It is often chosen to support relaxation, ease tension, and create a sense of balance in the body and mind.

It is sometimes associated with:

  • Stress relief and a calmer state of mind.

  • Head, face, and jaw tension.

  • General relaxation and improved sleep routines.

  • A greater sense of comfort and wellbeing.

  • Supportive care alongside broader self-care practices.

Important note: Facial reflexology is a complementary therapy and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. It should not be described as treating, curing, or preventing any medical condition unless you have strong, condition-specific evidence and the wording is legally compliant.

How long is the treatment?

Please book a 60 minute treatment. After your first session, Kinga will recommend a programme of treatment based on your needs. She may recommend 90 minute sessions, and each treatment will be matched and adjusted to your individual health and needs.

What can I expect during the treatment?

Facial Reflexology is a gentle, deeply relaxing treatment performed while you lie comfortably on a treatment table. The practitioner uses precise pressure on reflex points across the face, which correspond to different areas and systems of the body. Many clients experience a calm, meditative state, and often report reduced tension, improved clarity, and a sense of overall balance during and after the session.

Is facial reflexology for everyone?

Facial Reflexology is suitable for most people, including pregnant women, and can be adapted to individual needs and sensitivity levels. It is a gentle, non-invasive treatment. However, if you have specific medical conditions, acute skin infections, recent facial surgery, or are unsure, it is best to consult with your practitioner before booking.

Do I need to prepare?

No special preparation is needed. It is best to arrive with a clean face if possible, without heavy makeup or skincare products. Otherwise, just come as you are and allow yourself to relax.

Do I need to do anything after?

After treatment, it is recommended to drink water and allow your body to rest and integrate the effects. Some people feel deeply relaxed or slightly tired, while others feel energised and clear. Both responses are completely normal as the body adjusts and rebalances.
